The NM Department of Health (DoH)
has released its Adolescent Health Strategic Plan. The New
Mexico Forum for Youth in Community is partnering with DoH to move the strategic plan forward with the community.
To support this effort, the Forum and the New
Mexico Department of Health is convening a
community input and feedback process to engage key members of
the community and support implementation of the strategic
planning goals. There are seven overarching Capacity Areas
identified in the strategic plan:
Youth Development
Commitment to Adolescent Health
Partnerships
Planning and Evaluation
Policy and Advocacy
Education and Technical Assistance
Surveillance and Data Systems
The initial
convening is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2008.
Location for the session will be: Indian Pueblo Cultural
Center, 12th and Menaul, Albuquerque, NM.
Youth artist Erin Harrison of
Gadsden HS created the artwork for the Adolescent
Health Strategic Plan. The artwork follows the
style of Japanese Anime.
