Position(s): Board of Directors
The New Mexico
Forum for Youth in Community is seeking adults and youth
to fill vacancies on its Board of Directors. Prospective board
members should have the following preferred general
characteristics:

Knowledge of, strong belief in, and
demonstrated support of Positive Youth Development principles
and movement
-
Volunteer experience with non
profits or intermediaries
-
Relationship/s with:
-
Government agencies
-
Business leaders
-
Policy makers
-
Groups with parallel missions
(national, state, local)
-
Cultural groups/organizations
The Board is
especially interested in individuals with the following specific
knowledge or expertise:
-
Attorney
-
Accountant
-
Education
-
Fund Development
-
Grassroots organizations
-
Media
-
Policy analysis
Expectations of
Board Members:
-
Willing and able to attend regular
board meetings (approximately six per year), mostly held in
Albuquerque
-
Support the Forum’s strategic plan
Term of Commitment:
minimum of two years
